Q: What age do I have to be?
A: 25 years old to rent & 18 to drive with a valid drivers license & major credit card.
Q: Do I need Car Insurance to rent?
A: Yes you need to have a active policy in your name to rent a golf cart. Please call your insurance to check or add coverage for a LSV (low speed vehicle) If your insurance doesnt cover an at fault accident our policy will but the deductable starts at $5,000. It is your responsibitly to check not ours. We ask for proof of insurance at golf cart pick up.
Q: Which roads can I drive on?
A: low-speed vehicles (LSVs) on the roads of Avalon, Sea Isle City, and Stone Harbor, where the speed limit is 25 mph. In these areas, it's important to treat golf carts just like any other vehicle when it comes to road safety. Can not leave the Island or drive in over 25 mph zones
Q: Can I get a refund for inclement Weather?
A: Please note that no refunds will be issued due to poor weather conditions
Q: Do I have to charge my Golf Cart if I didn’t use it today?
A: It's important to keep the golf cart charged regularly, just like a cell phone it loses a charge, to ensure it's always ready when needed. By charging overnight, you allow the battery to get a full charge, which can help extend its lifespan and improve performance.
Q: How long will a charge last?
A: Polaris Gems have a range of 20-30 miles on a single charge.
Bintelli, Swift & Denago Carts have a range of 15-20 miles on a single charge.
Both need to be charged every night.
The Polaris Gems have a longer range, which can be beneficial if you need to cover more distance on a daily basis. However, if you’re using these vehicles primarily for shorter trips or local travel, the Bintelli Carts might still be perfectly adequate.
Q: What if it rains/floods, can I drive?
A:Yes, electric golf carts are generally designed to be used in a variety of weather conditions, including rain. They often come equipped with features like headlights, wipers, and sometimes even weather-resistant components to handle wet conditions. However, they should not be driven through flooded waters because the electrical components could be damaged by excessive water exposure, and the cart could lose traction or become stuck.
Q: How fast do they go?
A: All of our golf carts speeds are 25mph.
Q: How about cancellations?
A: We kindly request a 1-week notice for all cancellations. Any cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled appointment will incur a $50 administrative fee.
Q: How can we reserve?
A: Memorial Day - Labor Day: Weekly rentals only.
Off-season: For shorter stays, please call us directly at 609-967-1400 to inquire about availability. Discounts available!
Q: How will I know how to drive the golf carts?
A: When you arrive to pick up your golf cart, it will be ready, cleaned, and fully charged. An Avalon Golf Carts employee will go over all the basics with you. Feel free to ask any questions at this time
Q: Can I reserve Friday-Friday?
A: Please call the rental office to confirm your reservation. If a cart is returned early, we’ll contact you on Friday to arrange pickup. While we can’t guarantee availability, we always do our absolute best to get you a cart.
Q: I want to rent for 1, 2, or 3 days?
A: During peak season, rentals are available on a weekly basis only. In the off-season, shorter stays are permitted with a minimum of 3 nights.
Q: Can you deliver our Golf Cart?
A: We do not offer delivery service. Pick-up and drop-off are available at: Sunoco Gas Station & Avalon Auto Works 2889 Ocean Drive, Avalon, NJ 08202
